So you think you can ride a horse, act, dance, sing or play a musical instrument?
Auditions will be held in Rockhampton at the Dance Star Studios located at 179 East Street (Inferno Building 1st and 2nd floors) on Monday the 5th March 2012 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. (Longer if needed) "The Man from Snowy River". The Arena Spectacular will be the feature entertainment at Beef Australia 2012 from May 7 to May 12.
There will be 3 night time performances of the extravaganza during the week of the event. Monday the 7th, Tuesday the 8th and Wednesday the 9th May.
Ozworks creative producer Mark Eady has been asked by Beef Australia to present this iconic Australian story to the thousands of national and international guests that will be attending the Beef Australia 2012 in Rockhampton Qld.
"To achieve this ambitious project I'm going to need a key group of locals that really know what they are doing. I'm looking for everyone from expert horsemen and women, suppliers of horses, dancers, featured singers, musicians, actors as well as suppliers of sound and lighting." Says Mr Eady. "Rockhampton, it's your turn to show the world what you can do, I'll help you to look and sound the best you can."

The Man - 18 -30yo Must be a strong rider.
Blokes - 18+ for B&S Bush Bash sequence. Must be willing to give things a go and not be shy.
Shela's - 18+ for B&S Bush Bash sequence. Must also not be shy.
Dancers & Dance Groups
Musicians - Guitarist / Banjo / Mandolin / Bass / open to ideas
10 Crack Riders - Must be accomplished horsemen and women that can crack whips and control mob of free running horses. NO BEGINNERS and must have own horse.
Featured Singer -Male or Female. Country.
Colt from Old Regret
Preferably Black. Good looking and spirited horse but controllable. If the horse can perform tricks or work at Liberty then that would be an advantage. Needs to be able to jump out of round yard run to exit and also run with mob.
Liberty Horse
Must be able to run unaided from one side of arena and exit the other.

Mob of Brumbies
Don't want real brumbies, must be controllable, unsaddled horses that will run with mob.
24 horses and riders
For riding to music sequence and bush games race relay. This may be an existing trail riding club, pony club or horse enthusiasts. Horses must be quite, well educated, well behaved and controllable. Riders must be the same.
Harness Vehicle with Horse
May be a flat top German Wagon or similar. Purpose to bring live musicians into arena.
Stage Managers to help control all moving parts of this production via 2-way radios
