Lauryn Clare 2006 |
I have auditioned thousands of talented people over the past 6 years or so but never have I and my audition panel been so moved by an auditionee like 14 yo Lauryn Clare.
In 2005 Lauryn auditioned on the Gold Coast to be part of my Arena Spectacular "Local Heroes - Ordinary people doing extraordinary things". We were so impressed we created a sequence within the spectacular especially for her. A lost girl in a crowd of ten thousand people found by the SES and police services. Lauryn then sung a heart felt tribute to her rescuers.
The following year in 2006 Lauryn returned and auditioned for the Gold Coast Centenary Show Arena Spectacular and again we changed the show to include her.
A truly remarkable girl in my opinion with a very supportive and loving family behind her especially her mum Kerrie who to date has been organizing all of Lauryn's public appearances, classes and competitions. After talks with Kerrie and Lauryn I have agreed to take on management of Lauren's developing career in 2007 and beyond. I hope with my experience and creative background I may be able to assist her with her dream of becoming a world renowned singer.
For many years I have been keen to help people into the performing arts as it's such a difficult career path with 98% of artists unemployed. I'm excited to embark on this journey with Lauryn and would like to encourage you to support her and all developing artists around the world.
There is no such thing as luck in this industry. It's preparedness mixed with opportunity.
