Community Cook Off Competition

If this sounds like you then you need to enter the Gold Coast Shows Community Cook Off!
2009 sees the introduction of a new competition at the Gold Coast Show. The Gold Coast Show Community Cook Off will be held on Saturday 29th August at the Gold Coast Show. The contestants will be able to have a maximum spend of $20 on ingredients to make a dish of their choosing.
Contestants will be given one hour to cook their dish and present it to the judges. Selected contestants from each heat will then progress to the final in the afternoon. For the final contestants will be asked to create a dish using a mystery ingredient. The dishes will then be judged on a range of aspects including taste, presentation and creativity. These final contestants will be competing for over $850 in prizes from Robin's Kitchen.
This competition is not about who is the best trained chef. The Community Cook Off is about giving the Gold Coast community the opportunity to become involved with the Gold Coast Show and to take part in some friendly competition doing what they do best.
