New Sea Lion and Fur Seal Show
28 June 08 to 28 July 08The journey has begun to replace the popular Seal Show at Underwater World with a new show boasting more natural behaviors of the seals, action sequences and fun gags. Training has already begun on-site overseen by Head Seal supervisor Brendon. (He's a human not a seal)
Don't let the word "Training" fool you. The seals are teaching the staff not the other way around. At Underwater World the Seal Staff are adamant that the Seals never get it wrong. It's them that need to consistently improve their communication skills so that they can work with the Seals.
Leading up to June 2008 guests will be able to see the current show "Seals Behaving Badly" as well as a Seal Presentation, "Who's Training Who?". The later presentation will be a step by step behavioral training show toward our New Seal Show objectives.
