The search is on to find the Gold Coast's best cook!
Are you a Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson or Gordon Ramsey waiting to be discovered? Do you love to get creative in the kitchen?

If this sounds like you then you need to enter the Goldsteins Bakery Gold Coast Shows Community Cook Off!

2010 sees the continuation of our recently launched Community Cook Off Competition at the Goldsteins Bakery Gold Coast Show.  The competition open to all members of the Gold Coast community young and old will be on Saturday the 28th August in the FOOD FANTASTIC PAVILION at the Goldsteins Bakery Gold Coast Show. Contestants will be able to have a maximum spend of $20 on ingredients to make a dish of their choosing.

All contestants will be given one hour to cook their dish and present it to the judges.  Selected contestants from each heat will then progress to the final in the afternoon.  For the final contestants will be asked to create a dish using a mystery ingredient.  The dishes will then be judged on a range of aspects including taste, presentation and creativity.  These final contestants will be competing for some great prizes from Robin's Kitchen.

The Community Cook-Off Competition is not about who is the best trained chef.  The Community Cook Off is about giving the people of the Gold Coast the opportunity to show off their often unsung home kitchen abilities among other like minded cooks in front of a drooling audience.
